Our initiatives are a great way for individuals to assist us in our work to advocate for mental health, and remind youth that small daily actions can make a big diffrence. We have a variety of ideas ranging from activities you can do on your own time, to activities we provide that you can take part in.
CHECK-IN ON YOUR FRIENDS
Doing something as simple as checking in on your loved ones, whether that's through a video call, text message, or seeing them in person- small actions go a long way!
Our official blog, Starting the Conversation, will provide individuals with the opportunity to discuss and create a community around mental health and supporting each other. The blog will be a safe space for individuals to give feedback, ideas, and help eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.
Creating informational posters on mental health is a great way to continue advocating and opening up the conversation surrounding mental health. With approval, you can put up your posters around your school or community.
Together, Ensemble. is a bilingual podcast hosted by Loizza Aquino and Shophika Vaithyanathasarma to create and environment where anglophones and francophones can come together, break the stigma surrounding mental health and bring awareness to this important topic.
Yoga or deep breathing exercise can benefit your mental health and overall well being. Yoga and meditation sessions can be available locally or virtually.
Our peer support sessions, under the name The Support Hub, provide individuals with the opportunity to find others who may be experiencing similar struggles to their own in a supportive environment. Registration to participate is open to all young people from the age of 15-26.
