Creating compassionate communities
through youth-led initiatives for mental health.
What We Do
Peace of Mind creates a platform for young people to amplify their voices to shatter the stigma surrounding mental health. We are dedicated to creating an environment for youth to share their stories and experiences freely, while inspiring others with their perseverance.
So far Peace of Mind Canada has reached over 2000 young people, and provided a platform for over 100 young people to share their stories.
Peace of Mind is proud to announce the launch of HAVEN during the 2019-2020 school year.
HAVEN - previously YAMHIS - is an event hosted by Peace of Mind that allows youth to share their experiences and stories surrounding mental health. During our launch of HAVEN, Peace of Mind leaders will strive to ensure that participants will Hear others’ stories, Advocate for mental health, Voice their own stories, and Empower each other and their communities. Now is the time to take action.
Starting the 2019-2020 year, Peace of Mind will be introducing Peer Support groups within different communities involving youth and young adults. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with other youth to share and listen to each other’s journeys in a casual and welcoming setting.
Peace of Mind will be sending out quarterly initiatives for individuals to participate in as part of our mission to raise awareness and advocate for mental health. Stay tuned!
